Pixelmon Minecraft: Why Pokémon Fans Should Play
Pokémon and Minecraft can be enjoyed together, thanks to the Pixelmon modpack, allowing players to have a unique Pokémon journey with crafting.
For fans of Pokémon and Minecraft, the Pixelmon modpack combines the best of both games. Pixelmon (unofficially) integrates the world of Pokémon into the randomly generated maps of Minecraft, blending the latter's crafting systems with items and mechanics from the core Pokémon games. Players can battle, trade and explore their unique map, raising a team of Minecraft-modified Pokémon.Pokémon appear around the overworld in Pixelmon, with 3D models that have been steadily improved with each of the modpack's updates. Players can engage the Pokémon they find in battle, either to defeat and gain EXP or to capture and add to their team. They will find every Pokémon species that is currently available across all Pokémon games, including Legendaries and Mega Evolutions.
Pokémon appear at different levels, as well, allowing players to build up their team in order to challenge stronger opponents as they travel through the wilds of their Minecraft seed.

Pixelmon has included mechanics that allow players to battle each other as well as randomly generated AI trainers. Because of the battle mechanics, Pixelmon is a great modpack for Minecraft servers, creating a multiplayer world that fans can share together. Pixelmon offers a more immersive multiplayer experience than what is currently available in the main Pokémon series, too.
While players can engage in Max Raid battles together and see other players roaming the Wild Area when connected to the internet in Sword and Shield, interactive multiplayer mechanics are still largely missing in primary Pokémon games. This Minecraft modpack creates a space where players can interact easily with each other during gameplay.
Pixelmon Makes Pokémon More Interactive, Thanks To Minecraft Mechanics
Pixelmon also uses Minecraft's crafting features to let players make items, like Pokémon's Pokéballs. While it is possible to purchase Pokéballs at Pokémarts that spawn in towns, players can also collect Apricons and craft them with iron to make different Pokéballs.Players can also use items like TMs, potions, and other healing items found in the Pokémon games. Allowing players to craft their own items while they explore the wilds cuts down on players running back and forth to town when they're running low.
Pokémon spawn, using Minecraft's biomes as a guide, by type. Players will be able to take their team down into mineshafts and caves to find Rock and Ground types or out on the ocean for Water types.
The Minecraft Pixelmon modpack blends the excitement of open-world exploration with the joy of raising and capturing Pokémon, which fans of Pokémon and Minecraft alike will appreciate, as it creates an immersive experience for both popular video game series.
